A Bloody Good Cup
Pimm's No. 1 Cup that is. I recently ran out of my go-to summer after work drink – Ricard pastis – a refreshing and licorice-y treat from the South of France. Dilute it with water almost 1:10 in a glass full of ice. However, since I have to travel out-of-town to get more, I found Pimm's at my local liquor store. Pimm's is a gin-based liquor from the Brits. In New Orleans they make what's called a Pimm's Cup which is Pimm's, lemonade and soda (or some slight variation of that). It's not very strong and the Pimm's has an herbal quality that makes it refreshing on a hot day anywhere. Not having lemonade last night, I made a concoction with Pimm's, Archer Farm's (Target's house brand) Blood Orange Soda, and topped it off with plain soda. A bloody good cup indeed.
