The Fiji Mermaid was one of PT Barnum's sideshow attractions. Often copied by other people, here's my version in collage. Eventually, I want to do a series where I recreate other famous hoaxes. I have a great book by Mark Sloan called Hoaxes, Humbugs and Spectacles for reference.
