Carolyn tagged me too, so here goes with 4 lists off the top of me head.
4 favorite hamburgers
I like 'em small and balanced most of the time, with onions, lettuce and tomatoes.
3. Shake Shack, NYC, sits in a small park on 23rd street and Madison ave, great grill flavor and outdoor dining rain or shine.
4. Stamps SuperBurger, Jackson, MS, hands down, the best turkey burger anywhere, also great fried bologna sandwiches... terrible service, though.
4 memorable road trips
1. First drive out west as an adult, New Orleans, LA to Los Angeles, with diversions to Roswell, White Sands, and many many truck stops. Awesome huevos rancheros in Alamogordo, NM and first sighting of an airplane graveyard (now you can tour it)
2. Driving out to NM and AZ with Mr. Loaf for an extended camp/hike excursion. Camped all over the place including Petrified National Forest, Chaco Canyon and ate the the Turquiose Room at the La Posada in Winslow, AZ.
3. Helping friends move to Colorado Springs, CO from Jackson, MS . Started off as a two week thing, ended up being a 3 month journey.
4. Motorcycling around Mississippi when in high school and college, eating lots of good things and discovering some amazing places and people in a really underrated state.
4 memorable movie-going experiences
1. Star Wars at the Capri Cinema in Jackson, MS. First movie in America, didn't speak english (I was 6 and fresh off the boat), fell in love with going to the movies right then.
2. Driving to L.A. to see Independence Day; terrible, terrible movie, but what a great trip.
4. Blade Runner: The Final Cut at the Ziegfeld in NYC.
4 spaces i've inhabited and lived in
1. Datsun B210, station wagon
2. A bathroom in a great warehouse/studio
3. An attic in New Orleans that was infested with loud cockroaches.
4. A studio apartment on 55th and 9th in NYC that actually had HUGE closets.
