Eating to Thrive

Tomatoes (ot tomatos) have sucked in recent years. Except for the ones I've managed to grow myself. Part of the problem of course is our demand for fruits and veggies that are totally out of season and the homogenization of most  of our favorite fruits and veggies.
Of course the "benefit" of all that is blah tasting stuff.

Here's a nice article about some folks who want to save the earth by eating it. GO FARMERS!

I read an article a while back about how essentially the same thing happened with roses. They bred them for size and color, and consequently they lost their smell. So, there's a big interest in old rose breeds that still smell like roses.
