So, even though I now live in Brooklyn, NY and have access to just about any cuisine available (all the durian and sweetmeats I can stand). My heart and gut still have a place for ol' New Orleans. While I can't say that I miss it terribly, I do miss my friends and the amazing array of food there. It really is spectacular. Especially now, since "The Storm" there are more restaurants in the city than before.
The folks there might live in the shadow of "vesuvius" (aka, June 1 to November 1-hurricane season), but they know how to eat.
So, I've started compiling a little map of some of my favs in the big easy (and the westbank). I'll keep adding on here and there, hope you get a chance to sample some of the fare.
