I'm back from Chicago, and here's just a little something to tide you over until I get more up. This was at the Art Institute, which is always awesome. The upper register shows priests and servants preparing food offerings, including birds and ribs of beef. The lower shows butchers at work. Their kilts are tucked into their waistbands to keep them clean. Old Kingdom, Dynasty 5, c. 2524-2400 bc.
